As the weather gets colder, please check your closets to see if you have some gently used or new items you could donate to help our neighbors this winter. Hummelstown Rotary and friends of Rotary can support the following organizations by bringing donations to a Rotary meeting and we’ll be happy to drop off the items.
http://helpingtheharrisburgfamily.org is asking for winter coats, blankets, sweatshirts, sweatpants, hats, gloves, scarfs and socks.
And the Hummelstown Parks Department is collecting donations of socks and gloves of all sizes. Lower Dauphin Communities that Care (http://www.ldctc.org) will be one of the recipients and they will need children-sized socks and gloves that they will donate at our local schools.
