As the 2024-25 school calendar closes, the Hummelstown Rotary Club marks a busy year supporting the students of the Lower Dauphin School District.
From September through May, Rotary honors two students that high school staff has selected for Students of the Month. It’s a joy to meet the students and their parents during our luncheon. Each Student of the Month designee receives a monetary gift from the club.
With the annual Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA), the club sponsors a high school junior for a week-long leadership camp in June at Messiah University. Students tell us this experience is life-changing for them!
Hummelstown Rotary also awards scholarships to selected high school seniors. In their freshman and sophomore years, they receive $1,000. Recipients join us for lunch after their first year at college to share their accomplishments and future plans.
Rotary provides cash awards to 8th grade middle school students selected for the Falcon PRIDE Award and for the 8th grade Emerging Leader Awards.
In December, staff at Nye Elementary select several at-risk students for the “make-a-wish list,” and Rotarians shop and wrap the gifts to be sure those families have a wonderful holiday season.
Hummelstown Rotary depends on fundraising to provide these opportunities. Please support us at our August 15th Golf Tournament and the September 13th Chicken BBQ at the Hummelstown Fire Department. You can also support us by donating directly to Hummelstown Rotary Club, PO Box 48, Hummelstown, PA 17036.
Thank you for helping support future recipients of the Rotary youth projects.

Hummelstown Mayor Dave Roeting swore in the 2025-26 officers and board members at this week's meeting! Congratulations to all!

It was great to hear from Samantha Fullerton, our scholarship recipient, as well as Emily Zserai, our RYLA sponsor, at today's meeting! They both have a lot to offer this world!
